“Without Help to Buy we could not have made this dream come true”.

Mr and Mrs Brana
We went to speak to our latest happy buyers in Gipton to see how the Help to Buy scheme has helped them take their first step as a family on to the property ladder.

The head chef and assistant manager work alongside each other in a restaurant and were looking for a place where they could raise their three year old daughter.

The family are over the moon with their new 3 bedroom home on the attractive development Oak Tree Gardens, that enjoys close proximity to the attractive Roundhay Park, one of the largest city parks in Europe.

With a highly desirable location close to Leeds city centre, a range of good retail facilities and highly-regarded local schools, Oak Tree Gardens appealed to the family.

Before owning their brand new home, they had rented several properties.

“We were renting houses as we were travelling a lot because of work and certain situations. We did not know where to look for a place to live together”.

“We think that this is a great country to live in, a good place to raise a child."

After the search for a home began, in 2 months the Brana’s reserved their property. “We saw this construction and we just wanted to know what the house was like”.

They explained that an employee from Bellway introduced them to the Help to Buy scheme.

The Help to Buy Equity Loan is a scheme designed to help to you buy a new build home up to the value of £600,000. An equity loan between 10-20% is available to make your purchase more affordable, and you will only need a 5% deposit.

Mr and Mrs Brana bought their home for £139,995 on Bellway’s new development Oak Tree Gardens.

“For the first time in a long time, I feel like this is home. Our child is very happy, she is hugging the walls saying - this is my home, my home!”

“The customer care has been polite, friendly and everyone has been so lovely. I feel like we have made some friends through this whole process”.
